Rebecca Simon and Brian Cunningham Join Smith O’Keefe
Public Relations Team as Senior Account Managers
Egg Harbor Township, NJ (May 3, 2006) – Smith O’Keefe and Associates, southeastern New Jersey’s largest brand development, marketing and public relations firm has announced that Rebecca Simon and Brian Cunningham have joined the firm as senior account managers.
Ms. Simon comes to Smith O’Keefe from the Simon Group, Sellersville, Pa. where she served as manager of public relations for the agency. Previously, Simon was an account executive for a public relations firm in New York supervising all facets of public relations for travel and hospitality clients, including Hilton International and El Al Israel Airlines, as well as major business-to-business and non-profit accounts. Simon started her career at a Madison Avenue advertising agency.
Her expertise in the public relations field in New York and in the Caribbean earned Simon the hospitality industry’s highest award for public relations and an invitation to serve on the post-9/11 tourism public relations council.
Simon is a graduate of American University in Washington, D.C. and has completed all coursework for her master's degree at the same school. She has also studied abroad in Spain, speaks Spanish fluently and reads Italian and Portuguese.
Brian P. Cunningham comes to Smith O’Keefe from Comcast-Spectacor in Philadelphia. His most recent management positions with the company were public relations manager for the Wachovia Center and Spectrum, and director of event marketing for the Liacouras Center (Global Spectrum).
Previously, Cunningham’s work with The Philadelphia Eagles in media services earned two Philadelphia-region Emmys and client appearances on national TV networks. He continues to coordinate charitable activities for several of the Eagles’ most prominent players. While with the Eagles, the club was awarded the Pete Rozelle Award – given to the top public relations department in the National Football League.
Cunningham is a graduate of Temple University, where he earned a B.A. in journalism, public relations and advertising and a master's in sports management.
